Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System

On the whole 8,0 mln transactions to the amount of 124,5 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2026. As compared to January of 2025 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 1,5% (by 120,4 mln transactions), amount of payments by 0,05% (by 58,2 bln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January of 2026 2,4 mln transactions to the amount of 123,6 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 5,6% (by 141,0 thousand transactions), amount of payments increased by 0,02% (by 22,1 bln KZT).

On an average 124,6 thousand transactions to the amount of 6,5 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2026 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2025 in respect of number by 0,7% (by 0,8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount increased by 5,3% (by 326,5 bln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January of 2026 made up 5,6 mln documents to the amount of 824,7 bln KZT. As compared to January of 2025 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 0,4% (by 20,6 thousand documents), value of payments decreased by 8,9% (by 80,3 bln KZT).

On an average 294,3 thousand documents to the amount of 43,4 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2025 in respect of number of payments by 5,7% (by 15,7 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount of payments by 4,1% (by 1,8 bln KZT).
