This section includes information about loans to economy by the banking sector of Kazakhstan and separately by the second-tier banks.
Loans from banking sector to economy - data on balances of actual debt on loans issued by the second-tier banks and JSC "Development Bank of Kazakhstan". The data are broken down by categories of loans to businesses (loans to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs for business purposes) and loans to population (loans to individuals for non-business purposes). Loans to business are broken down by business entities (large, medium and small), and loans to population are broken down by purpose - mortgage loans, consumer loans and other. Data are compiled on a monthly basis beginning January 1, 2022.
Loans to economy from second-tier banks - data on actual balances of debt on credits granted by banks, broken down by the main categories - currency of the loan, maturity, subjects of credit (legal and natural persons, loans to business, and loans to population). Data has been compiled on a monthly basis since 1996. Starting with the data as of January 1, 2005 the categories of the loans to business and loans to population are represented.
The source of data is the reporting information received by the National Bank of Kazakhstan from the second-tier banks and JSC “Development Bank of Kazakhstan” according to the forms of administrative data.
