On the whole 18,0 mln transactions to the amount of 249.3 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-February of 2026. As compared to January-February of 2025 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 3.7% (by 688,1 thousand transactions), amount of payments increased by 3.0% (by 7.4 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-February of 2026 5.5 mln transactions to the amount of 247.3 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 5.3% (by 309,5 thousand transactions), amount of payments increased by 3.1% (by 7.5 trln KZT).

On an average 141.3 thousand transactions to the amount of 6.3 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-February of 2026 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2025 in respect of number by 2,9% (by 4,2 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 5,8% (by 346,9 bln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-February of 2026 made up 12.5 mln documents to the amount of 2.0 trln KZT. As compared to January-February of 2025 volume of documents in clearing system decreased by 2.9% (by 378.6 thousand documents), value of payments - by 7.7% (by 165,3 bln KZT).

On an average 319.9 thousand documents to the amount of 51.1 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is less than the level of the similar period of 2025 in respect of number of payments by 0.5% (by 1.5 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount of payments by 5.3% (by 2.9 bln KZT).
