Date and place of birth: June 6, 1977, Almaty city.

In 1998 D. Vagapov graduated from the Kazakh State Law University with a degree in law.

D. Vagapov began his career in 1999 as a lead specialist of the Legal Due Diligence, Division of Legal Due Diligence, Codification and Systematization of Legislation, Department of Legal Services, Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.

From 1999 through 2000, D. Vagapov served as a senior specialist of the Legislative Analysis, Legal Support Division, Legal Department, Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan.

During the period of 2000 to 2001 he worked as a head of the Legal Due Diligence, Division of Legal Due Diligence, Systematization of Legislation and Legal Training, Department of Legal Services, Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.

From 2001 through 2002, D. Vagapov served as a consultant to the State Legal Department, Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2002 to 2003, he held the position of a head of the civil and economic legislation sector at the Legal Department, Office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

From 2003 to 2006, D. Vagapov served as director of the Department of Legal Services, Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.

During the period from 2006 to 2007 he worked in a corporate sector.

In 2008, D. Vagapov served as a Deputy Head of the President’s Representative Office in the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

From 2008 to September 2013, he worked as a head of the Legal Division, a deputy head of the Central Office of the Nur-Otan National Democratic Party.

In September 2013, D. Vagapov was appointed Chairman of the Trade Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan.

From August 2014 to May 2018, he served as an Executive Secretary at the Ministry of the National Economy of Kazakhstan.

During the period from May 2018 to June 2020, he worked as a Head of the State Legal Division, Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 26 June 2020, Daniyar Vagapov was appointed Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He was awarded the «Order of Kurmet», the medal of the Republic of Kazakhstan «For Distinguished Labour», the jubilee medals «Astana», «10 years to Astana», «20 years to the Constitution of Kazakhstan», «30 years to Kazakhstan Tenge».
