For May 2024 banks and JSC «Kazpost» performed 1 265 422,7 thousand transactions to the sum of 102 717,1 billion KZT with the application of payment instruments presented in Table.
As before, payment orders and payment cards are payment instruments used most commonly on the territory of Kazakhstan. Here with the average value of one payment order in May 2024 came to 760 961,3 KZT. At the same time, a high specific weight of payment cards on the volume of transactions and a low specific weight on value of transactions are due to the use of this payment instrument primarily for operation with small sums.
During the specified period checks and means of electronic payment are used the least frequently. The insignificant part of use of given instruments in total volume and value is caused by their specificity.
