On the whole 2,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 72,2 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2018. As compared to January of 2017 number of payments in payment systems increased by 16,3% (by 388,7 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 8,7% (by 5,8 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January of 2018 1 063,9 thousand transactions to the amount of 71,8 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 5,3% (by 51,2 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 8,7% (by 5,8 trln. KZT).

On an average 50,7 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,4 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2018 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2017 in respect of number by 0,3% (by 0,1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 3,5% (by 0,1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January of 2018 made up 1,7 mln. documents to the amount of 412,3 bln. KZT. As compared to January of 2017 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 24,4% (by 335,5 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 11,3% (by 41,8 bln. KZT).

On an average 81,5 thousand documents to the amount of 19,6 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is less than the level of the similar period of 2017 in respect of number of payments by 18,5% (by 12,7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 6,0% (by 1,1 bln. KZT).
