On the whole 45.9 mln transactions to the amount of 613.1 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-May of 2025. As compared to January-May of 2024 number of payments in payment systems increased by 34.5% (by 11.8 mln transactions), amount of payments by 8.9% (by 50.0 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-May of 2025 14.4 mln transactions to the amount of 607.3 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 21.8% (by 2.6 mln transactions), amount of payments by 8.7% (by 48.6 trln KZT).
On an average 146.5 thousand transactions to the amount of 6.2 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-May of 2025 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2024 in respect of number by 24.3% (by 28.7 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 10.9% (by 609.5 bln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-May of 2025 made up 31.5 mln documents to the amount of 5.8 trln KZT. As compared to January-May of 2024 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 41.2% (by 9.2 mln documents), value of payments - by 30.2% (by 1.3 trln KZT).
On an average 321.9 thousand documents to the amount of 59.2 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2024 in respect of number of payments by 44.1% (by 98.5 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 32.9% (by 14.6 bln KZT).
