On the whole 87.8 mln transactions to the amount of 1 487.4 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-December of 2024. As compared to January-December of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 19.1% (by 14.0 mln transactions), amount of payments by 51.7% (by 507.1 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-December of 2024 30.6 mln transactions to the amount of 1 475.5 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 20.1% (by 5.1 mln transactions), amount of payments by 52.2% (by 506.2 trln KZT).
On an average 121.3 thousand transactions to the amount of 5.9 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-December of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 18.2% (by 19.0 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 49.8% (by 1.9 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-December of 2024 made up 57.1 mln documents to the amount of 11.8 trln KZT. As compared to January-December of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 18.5% (by 8.9 mln documents), value of payments – by 7.8% (by 853.4 bln KZT).
On an average 229.5 thousand documents to the amount of 47.6 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 16.6% (by 32.7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 6.0% (by 2.7 bln KZT).
