On the whole 5,2 mln. transactions to the amount of 70,3 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2023. As compared to January of 2022 number of payments in payment systems increased by 24,9% (by 1,0 mln transactions), amount of payments by 33,8% (by 17,7 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January of 2023 1,5 mln transactions to the amount of 69,7 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 24,2% (by 296,6 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 33,9% (by 17,6 trln. KZT).
On an average 76,1 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,5 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2023 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number by 11,8% (by 8,0 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 20,5% (by 0,6 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January of 2023 made up 3,7 mln. documents to the amount of 609,7 bln. KZT. As compared to January of 2022 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 25,1% (by 744,5 thousand documents), value of payments - by 20,9% (by 105,5 bln. KZT).
On an average 185,3 thousand documents to the amount of 30,5 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number of payments by 12,6% (by 20,8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 8,8% (by 2,5 bln. KZT).
