On the whole 20.9 mln. transactions to the amount of 223.7 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-April of 2022. As compared to January-April of 2021 number of payments in payment systems increased by 13.5% (by 2.487 mln. transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 5.2% (by 12.4  trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-April of 2022 6.8 mln. transactions to the amount of 220.8 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 32.3% (by 1.658 mln. transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 5.5% (by 12.9 trln. KZT).

On an average 87.0 thousand transactions to the amount of 2.8 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-April of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number by 34.0% (by 22.1 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 4.3% (by 0.1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-April of 2022 made up 14.1 mln. documents to the amount of 2.9 trln. KZT. As compared to January-April of 2021 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 6.2% (by 829.5 thousand transactions), value of payments increased by 19.7% (by 0.5 trln. KZT).

On an average 181.2 thousand documents to the amount of 37.2 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number of payments by 7.6% (by 12.8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 21.2% (by 6.3 trln. KZT).
