On the whole 15.4 mln. transactions to the amount of 168.1 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-March of 2022. As compared to January-March of 2021 number of payments in payment systems increased by 12,7% (by 1.742 mln. transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 2.4% (by 4.1  trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-March of 2022 4.8 mln. transactions to the amount of 166.1 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 29.4% (by 1.085 mln. transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 2.6% (by 5,8 trln. KZT).

On an average 83.8 thousand transactions to the amount of 2.9 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-March of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number by 29.4% (by 19.0 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 2.6% (by 0.1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-March of 2022 made up 10.6 mln. documents to the amount of 2.031 trln. KZT. As compared to January-March of 2021 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 6.6% (by 657.5 thousand transactions), value of payments increased by 21.3% (by 0.4 trln. KZT).

On an average 186.8 thousand documents to the amount of 35.6 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number of payments by 6.6% (by 11.5 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 21.3% (by 6,2 trln. KZT).
