On the whole 9,9 mln. transactions to the amount of 108,8 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-February of 2022. As compared to January-February of 2021 number of payments in payment systems increased by 12,5% (by 1,095 mln. transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 4,8% (by 5,5  trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-February of 2022 2,9 mln. transactions to the amount of 107,6 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 23,7% (by 546,6 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 5,1% (by 5,8 trln. KZT).

On an average 75,1 thousand transactions to the amount of 2,8 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-February of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number by 23,7% (by 14,4 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 5,1% (by 0,2 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-February of 2022 made up 7,0 mln. documents to the amount of 1,245 trln. KZT. As compared to January-February of 2021 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 8,5% (by 548,9 thousand transactions), value of payments increased by 23,5% (by 0,2 trln. KZT).

On an average 184,7 thousand documents to the amount of 32,8 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number of payments by 8,5% (by 14,4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 23,5% (by 6,2 trln. KZT).
