On the whole 59,3 mln. transactions to the amount of 782,1 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in 2021. As compared to 2020 number of payments in payment systems increased by 16,2% (by 8262,8 thousand transactions), amount of payments increased by 21,2% (by 136,6 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In 2021 18,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 773,4 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to last year number of payments increased by 25,4% (by 3811,2 thousand transactions) and amount of payments increased by 21,2% (by 135,3 trln. KZT).

On an average 76,5 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,1 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in 2021 which is more than the level of 2020 in respect of number by 25,4% (by 15,5 thousand transactions) and  more in respect of amount by 21,2% (by 0,6 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during 2021 made up 40,5 mln. documents to the amount of 8,7 trln. KZT. As compared to 2020 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 12,3% (by 4451,6 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 17,1% (by 1271,6 bln. KZT).

On an average 164,7 thousand documents to the amount of 35,3 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number of payments by 12,3% (by 18,1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 17,1% (by 5,2 bln. KZT).
