On September 13, 2022, the National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the NBK) puts into circulation collectors’ coins ‘30 YEARS OF KAZAKHSTAN’S MEMBERSHIP IN THE UN’, ‘30 YEARS OF INITIATIVE ON CONVENING A CONFERENCE ON INTERACTION AND CONFIDENCE-BUILDING MEASURES IN ASIA’, ‘KAZAKHSTAN – CHINA. 30 YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS’, ‘KAZAKHSTAN – RUSSIA. 30 YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS’ from the series ‘Outstanding Events and People’. The issue of coins was initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Notice on a date of sale of the coins will be additionally posted on the official website of the NBK.

The collectors’ coins ‘30 YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE UN’

Design of the coins uses an official emblem of the United Nations located against the background of an outline of the map of Kazakhstan. Additional design elements are stars symbolizing Kazakhstan as one of the UN member states. At its bottom, reverse of the coin depicts designation of memorable dates: 1992 is the year of Kazakhstan's accession to the UN, 2022 is an anniversary date and the year of issue of the commemorative coin.

The collectors’ coins ‘30 YEARS OF INITIATIVE ON CONVENING A CONFERENCE ON INTERACTION AND CONFIDENCE-BUILDING MEASURES IN ASIA’

Design of the coins used an official logo of the CICA, an international forum that brings together states of the Asian continent in order to ensure stability and security in the region.

Collectors’ coins ‘KAZAKHSTAN – CHINA. 30 YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS’, ‘KAZAKHSTAN – RUSSIA. 30 YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS’

The figure ‘30’ in design of the coins stands for a sign of infinity and continuous development of relationships. Combination of national ornaments of countries reflects interaction of cultures, further development of political and economic ties.

Collectors’ coins dedicated to 30 years of Kazakhstan’s membership in the UN and 30 years of the CICA are made of cupronickel alloy, weighing 15 grams, proof-like quality, denomination of 100 KZT, 2 000 coins in circulation.

Collectors’ coins dedicated to 30 years of diplomatic relations (‘Kazakhstan – China’, ‘Kazakhstan – Russia’) are made of cupronickel alloy weighing 15 grams, proof-like quality, 100 KZT denomination of, 3 000 coins in circulation.

Collectors’ coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all the banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Collectors’ coins were produced by the Kazakhstan Mint.
