The heads of the central (national) banks of the EAEU member states took part in a meeting of the Consultative council of central (national) banks held in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyz Republic).

The members of the Consultative council discussed the dynamics and factors shaping inflation and economic activity in the EAEU countries. An exchange of views took place on current issues of monetary policy.

The parties reviewed the development of a methodology for the countercyclical capital buffer and the practical aspects of its application across different countries.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed a comparative analysis of the approaches taken by EAEU regulators with regard to the implementation of ESG principles, and were briefed on the results of the first stage of cyber exercises conducted among the central banks of the Eurasian region.

In addition, a series of bilateral meetings with the central banks of the region were held to discuss current cooperation issues.

The next meeting of the Consultative council of central (national) banks is planned to be held in Kazakhstan.
