The National Bank of Kazakhstan announces that starting from June 2025 it will begin the regular publication of a standalone document – the Summary of the Deliberation of the Base Rate Decision. The document will be published eight times per year, following each decision. The summary provides a concise account of the key arguments and factors considered by Committee members when making the decision on the base rate.

The purpose of the publication is to enhance the transparency of the monetary policy decision-making process, strengthen the Committee’s accountability, and support the formation of more informed expectations among market participants and the broader public. In preparing the document, the practices and approaches of leading central banks as well as the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund were taken into account.

The first publication of the Summary of the Discussion of the Base Rate Decision announced on June 5, 2025, is available in the section “Base Rate Decision Schedule 2015–2025” on the official website of the National Bank.
