National Bank of Kazakhstan and Brookfield Asset Management discussed extended investment cooperation
Governor of the National Bank Timur Suleimenov and management of National Investment Corporation of the National Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (NIC NBK) held a meeting with representatives of the international investment company Brookfield Asset Management.
The parties have discussed priority areas for investment in Kazakhstan, including private capital markets, infrastructure and digital technologies.
Representatives of Brookfield Asset Management highlighted positive dynamics of the growing investment opportunities in Kazakhstan and the region as a whole. They also focused on importance of the current long-term relationship with NIC NBK and indicated their interest in participating in potential projects in Kazakhstan in the near future.
In turn, the NBK pointed out importance of cooperation with international organizations not only to raise capital to the country as part of promoting the implementation of the state's investment policy, but also as a partner with extensive experience and access to modern technologies.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further cooperation and development of mechanisms for implementation of joint projects.
