September 18, Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov met with Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia Natela Turnava.

During the meeting, the central bank governors discussed the current macroeconomic situation and monetary policy, prospects for cooperation in the field of financial technologies and payment systems, and exchanged views on topical issues of central banks' activities.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding and bilateral cooperation. The memorandum is aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation through information exchange and mutual consultations.

Conclusion of the memorandum became a new step in strengthening Kazakhstan-Georgia cooperation in the financial sphere.
