Heads of central banks of the EAEU member states discussed the current economic situation
Heads of central banks of the EAEU member states took part in the Advisory Council and the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks meetings.
Members of the Advisory Council exchanged views on the monetary policy issues, discussed inflation dynamics, as well as the situation in the financial markets.
During the Eurasian Council meeting, the parties shared experience of central banks in ESG, formation of balance of payments indicators, regulation of digital assets, and discussed the operations results of the banking sector in the member states in 2023 and the prospects for development in 2024.
The experts also discussed issuance of currency notes, development of the numismatic market, anti-counterfeiting, and professional training of central bank staff.
The next meetings of the central banks councils are planned to be held in Autumn of 2024.
