The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guided by the principles of transparency and openness, and taking into account the commencement of the “National fund for Children” program, announces the creation of a new subsection “Statistics of the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan” in the “Statistics” section on the official website of the NBK nationalbank.kz.

This section includes information on the results of managing the foreign currency assets of the National Fund, as well as information on obligations under the “National Fund for Children” program. At the same time, previously published information on the operations of the National Fund is transferred to a new subsection and supplemented with data on tenge denominated assets of the National Fund.

The “Management results of foreign currency assets of the Republic of Kazakhstan National Fund” page in the new subsection contains information about the fund’s return in percentage terms for each year. The graphs also show the current share of portfolios and distribution by type of the financial instruments (asset allocation). Information on this page will be updated annually based on the data on the return of the fund in percentage terms for each year.

On the “National fund for Children” page, information is displayed about the amount of money from the National Fund attributed to the accounts of all children in the reporting year (allocated target requirements). This section also discloses the amount of funds transferred to the UAPF for the actual payment in the reporting year. The statistics of this page will also be updated on an annual basis upon the accrual of target requirements and the transfer of funds to the UAPF.

The accrual of target requirements and the transfer of funds to persons over the age of 18 occurs once a year according to the Rules approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Information on the operations of the National Fund has been supplemented with data on financial instruments of Kazakhstani issuers in the National Fund and is now published on the page “Operations of the National fund and financial instruments of Kazakhstani issuers”. Financial instruments of Kazakhstani issuers in the National Fund include equity and debt instruments in tenge. Financial instruments of Kazakhstani issuers in the National Fund are reflected at face and fair value, as well as at the purchase price. The information on this page will be updated on a monthly basis.

At the same time, monthly data on the foreign currency assets of the National Fund will continue to be published on the official Internet resource of the National Bank in the section “Statistics” – “Monetary and banking statistics” – “Monetary statistics” – “International reserves and foreign currency assets of the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan”
