In July 2023, the country’s annual inflation slowed down and made 14.0% (14.6% in June). In terms of regions, inflation decelerated in all 20 regions.

The highest values of annual inflation were recorded in Astana city, North Kazakhstan and Ulytau regions.

Growth pace of food products in July slowed down to 13.5% YoY (14.6% in June). The highest increase in prices for goods in this group was observed in the Ulytau region (16.9%), while the lowest was in Atyrau region (11.3%).

Growth rate of prices for non-food products decelerated to 15.0% YoY (15.8% in June). The maximum value was recorded in Astana city (19.6%), while the minimum was in Ulytau region (11.6%).

Prices for paid services in July increased to 13.6% YoY (13.3% in June). At the same time, prices rose significantly higher than the national level in Ulytau region (at 17.5 %) and significantly lower in Abai region (10.1%).

In July 2023, growth of monthly inflation in the country amounted to 0.6%.
