Outcomes of the Interstate Bank Council Meeting

Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Ms. Aliya Moldabekova, participated in the 63rd Interstate Bank Council meeting. The event was also attended by representatives from the Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan central banks.

In the course of the meeting, the participants discussed the operational results and implementation of the Interstate Bank’s budget in the first half of 2021, approved the bank’s budget for 2022 and endorsed selection of the audit firm for auditing the 2021 year financial statements. The Council members also exchanged views on the core focus of the Interstate Bank’s operations in 2022.

During the meeting, the members also elected the chair of the Bank’s Council for 2022. Based on voting by unanimous decision, the right to chair the Council of the Interstate Bank was vested to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The next Interstate Bank Council meeting will be held in the spring of 2022.

The Interstate Bank was incorporated in 1993 as an international settlement and credit-financial institution of the CIS countries. The Interstate Bank has representative offices in Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. The Bank’s founders are the Governments and Central banks of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
