Concerning the Measures to Extend the Economy of Simple Things Program

Within the State of the nation address dated September 1, 2021, ‘Unity of the People and Systemic Reforms Are a Solid Foundation for the Nation's Prosperity’, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered to extend the term of the Economy of Simple Things program until the end of 2022 without any increase in funding.

In pursuance of this order, the National Bank took a decision dated September 20, 2021 N 78 to extend the timeframe for purchase of bonds of second-tier banks and Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC within their participation in the program until the end of 2022. The decision takes effect from a date of approval by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the respective amendments to the program in terms of its expiration period.

Funds previously provided by the National Bank will allow to provide coverage by soft loans to the entrepreneurs focusing on import substitution and creation of new industries in 2022.

As of September 24, 2021, within the Economy of Simple Things program, second-tier banks and Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC received 4,004 requests worth 1.58 trillion KZT. 3,373 projects for 1.1 trillion KZT approved, 3,278 loans for 901.3 billion KZT were issued.
