The central bankers and financial regulators of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states discussed further cooperation prospects during the meeting of the EAEU Advisory Council on the Central Banks’ Foreign Exchange Policy.

The event was held in Bishkek and chaired by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Mr. Erbolat Dossaev, participated in the meeting.

The panelists discussed the current macroeconomic situation, implementation of monetary policy in the EAEU member states in the environment of pro-inflationary pressures.

The parties also exchanged views on the effectiveness of measures to ensure financial stability in the post-pandemic period, as well as the implementation of programmes to support and encourage business activity.

The next meeting of the Advisory Council will be held in the spring of 2022.
