THE 10 000 TENGE BANKNOTE TAKES FIRST PLACE AT THE HIGH SECURITY PRINTING AWARDS

The new 10,000 tenge banknote of the 2024 design was awarded first place in the "Best New Banknote" category at the High Security Printing competition.

High Security Printing is one of the most prestigious awards presented annually at international conferences for outstanding innovations in banknotes and identification documents. The competition evaluates the artistic design, technological innovation, and symbolism reflecting the cultural heritage of the issuing country. This award highlights the high standards set by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in the development of its national currency.

The 10,000 tenge banknote was put into circulation on June 28, 2024. It is the second note in the new "Saka Style" series. Its design is based on elements of the "Saka Style," considered the origin of traditional Kazakh ornamentation, reflecting the heritage of the country—from the unique culture of nomads to modern Kazakhstan.
