The National Bank of Kazakhstan participated in "The Banknote Conference 2024," held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, from May 13 to 16, 2024. The National Bank presented a commemorative 10,000-tenge banknote dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the national currency. The design of the banknote was created by the designers of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. During the conference, the results of the IACA's Excellence in Currency Awards were announced. In the "Best Commemorative Banknote" category, Kazakhstan's 10,000-tenge commemorative banknote was recognized as a finalist based on expert voting. Alongside the National Bank of Kazakhstan, central banks from around the world participated in the competition. As a reminder, the commemorative banknote was issued on November 15, 2023, with a limited mintage of 3 million pieces. The banknote features 19 security elements. Its design incorporates the tenge symbol "₸" with a locally applied holographic element. The Möbius strip, symbolizing infinite motion, is depicted on both sides of the banknote.
