The Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) is a global study and its accompanying ranking of economic competitiveness of the world countries that is formed from 103 indicators, which are calculated from the results of statistical data of international organizations and the results of a survey of companies’ executives. 12 factors of competitiveness are determined according to these indicators.
According to the results of the 2019 rating Kazakhstan holds 55th place, having improved the rating on the 4 positions. Kazakhstan ranks second among the CIS countries, behind the Russia (second place 43).
Out of the 12 factors of competitiveness improvement is observed for 5 factors, 4 factors decreased out and 3 factors remained unchanged.
33 indicators improved, decrease - 49 indicators, without change - 21 indicators out of 103 indicators.
