On the whole 17,1 mln. transactions to the amount of 228,7 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-April of 2020. As compared to January-April of 2019 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 30,1% (by 3953,0 thousand transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 27,5% (by 82,9 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-April of 2020 4,5 mln. transactions to the amount of 226,7 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 2,4% (by 108,5 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 26,8% (by 83,0 trln. KZT).

On an average 55,9 thousand transactions to the amount of 2,8 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-April of 2020 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number by 3,6% (by 2,1 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 27,7% (by 1,1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-April of 2020 made up 12,6 mln. documents to the amount of 2,1 trln. KZT. As compared to January-April of 2019 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 47,6% (by 4061,0 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 4,7% (by 92,7 bln. KZT).

On an average 157,5 thousand documents to the amount of 25,7 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number of payments by 45,7% (by 49,4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 3,4% (by 0,8 bln. KZT).
