On the whole 10,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 175 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-March of 2020. As compared to January-March of 2019 number of payments in payment systems increased by 11,1% (by 1075 thousand transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 28,6% (by 70 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-March of 2020 3,3 mln. transactions to the amount of 173,4 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 2,4% (by 82,7 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 28,8% (by 70,2 trln. KZT).

On an average 57,4 thousand transactions to the amount of 3 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-March of 2020 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number by 4,1% (by 2,4 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 30% (by 1,3 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-March of 2020 made up 7,5 mln. documents to the amount of 1,6 trln. KZT. As compared to January-March of 2019 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 18,4% (by 1157,1 thousand documents), value of payments decreased by 11,8% (by 164 bln. KZT).

On an average 128,6 thousand documents to the amount of 26,7 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number of payments by 16,3% (by 18,1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 9,9% (by 2,4 bln. KZT).
