On the whole 13,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 346 325,8 bln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-May of 2017. As compared to January-May of 2016 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 2,7% (by 383,9 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 64,8% (by 136 131,7 bln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-May of 2017 5,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 343 960,3 bln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 2,7% (by 153,9 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 65,4% (by 135 958,8 bln. KZT).

On an average 58,3 thousand transactions to the amount of 3 474,3 bln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-May of 2017 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2016 in respect of number by 16,9% (by 11,6 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 23,0% (by 650,4 bln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-May of 2017 made up 8,1 mln. documents to the amount of 2 365,5 bln. KZT. As compared to January-May of 2016 volume of documents in clearing system decreased by 6,3% (by 537,8 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 7,9% (by 172,9 bln. KZT).

On an average 81,4 thousand documents to the amount of 23,9 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is less than the level of the similar period of 2016 in respect of number of payments by 7,2% (by 6,3 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 6,8% (by 1,5 mln. KZT).
