On the whole 8,1 mln transactions to the amount of 124,5 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2025. As compared to January of 2024 number of payments in payment systems increased by 37,0% (by 2,2 mln transactions), amount of payments by 18,1% (by 19,0 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January of 2025 2,5 mln transactions to the amount of 123,6 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 32,3% (by 611,6 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 18,0% (by 18,8 trln KZT).
On an average 125,4 thousand transactions to the amount of 6,2 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2025 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2024 in respect of number by 38,9% (by 35,1 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 29,9% (by 1,2 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January of 2025 made up 5,6 mln documents to the amount of 905,1 bln KZT. As compared to January of 2024 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 39,3% (by 1,6 mln documents), value of payments - by 32,7% (by 222,8 bln KZT).
On an average 278,6 thousand documents to the amount of 45,3 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2024 in respect of number of payments by 46,3% (by 88,1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 39,3% (by 12,8 bln KZT).
