On the whole 48.7 mln transactions to the amount of 826.4 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-July of 2024. As compared to January-July of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 17.2% (by 7.2 mln transactions), amount of payments by 57.5% (by 301.9 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-July of 2024 16.8 mln transactions to the amount of 820.0 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 21.5% (by 3.0 mln transactions), amount of payments by 58.1% (by 301.4 trln KZT).
On an average 117.4 thousand transactions to the amount of 5.7 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-July of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 18.9% (by 18.7 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 54.8% (by 2.0 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-July of 2024 made up 32.0 mln documents to the amount of 6.5 trln KZT. As compared to January-July of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 15.1% (by 4.2 mln documents), value of payments – by 7.2% (by 431.5 bln KZT).
On an average 223.5 thousand documents to the amount of 45.1 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 12.7% (by 25.2 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 4.9% (by 2.1 bln KZT).
