On the whole 40.7 mln transactions to the amount of 683.2 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-June of 2024. As compared to January-June of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 15.2% (by 5.4 mln transactions), amount of payments by 54.9% (by 242.1 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-June of 2024 14.1 mln transactions to the amount of 677.8 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 20.3% (by 2.4 mln transactions), amount of payments by 55.5% (by 241.8 trln KZT).
On an average 116.9 thousand transactions to the amount of 5.6 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-June of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 19.3% (by 19.9 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 54.2% (by 2.0 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-June of 2024 made up 26.5 mln documents to the amount of 5.4 trln KZT. As compared to January-June of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 12.6% (by 3.0 mln documents), value of payments - by 5.9% (by 301.9 bln KZT).
On an average 219.2 thousand documents to the amount of 44.8 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 11.7% (by 22.9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 5.0% (by 2.1 bln KZT).
