On the whole 27.4 mln transactions to the amount of 436.9 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-April of 2024. As compared to January-April of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 16.6% (by 3.9 mln transactions), amount of payments by 59.9% (by 163.7 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-April of 2024 9.4 mln transactions to the amount of 433.5 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 23.5% (by 1.8 mln transactions), amount of payments by 60.5% (by 163.4 trln KZT).
On an average 115.7 thousand transactions to the amount of 5.4 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-April of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 20.4% (by 19.6 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 56.5% (by 1.9 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-April of 2024 made up 18.0 mln documents to the amount of 3.5 trln KZT. As compared to January-April of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 13.3% (by 2.1 mln documents), value of payments - by 9.0% (by 288.2 bln KZT).
On an average 222.2 thousand documents to the amount of 42.9 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 10.5% (by 21.1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 9.0% (by 2.6 bln KZT).
