On the whole 23.5 mln transactions to the amount of 273.3 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-April of 2023. As compared to January-April of 2022 number of payments in payment systems increased by 12.2% (by 2.6 mln transactions), amount of payments by 22.1% (by 49.5 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-April of 2023 7.6 mln transactions to the amount of 270.1 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 11.8% (by 801.5 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 22.3% (by 49.2 trln KZT).
On an average 96.1 thousand transactions to the amount of 3.4 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-April of 2023 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number by 10.4% (by 9.0 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 20.7% (by 0.6 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-April of 2023 made up 15.9 mln documents to the amount of 3.2 trln KZT. As compared to January-April of 2022 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 12.4% (by 1.7 mln documents), value of payments - by 9.9% (by 287.1 bln. KZT).
On an average 201.1 thousand documents to the amount of 40.3 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number of payments by 11.0% (by 19.9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 8.5% (by 3.3 bln KZT).
