On the whole 18,4 mln. transactions to the amount of 236,1 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-April of 2021. As compared to January-April of 2020 number of payments in payment systems increased by 8,0% (by 1363,6 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 3,2% (by 7,4 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-April of 2021 5,1 mln. transactions to the amount of 233,7 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 14,7% (by 656,8 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 3,1% (by 7,1 trln. KZT).

On an average 64,9 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,0 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-April of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number by 16,1% (by 9,0 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 4,4% (by 0,1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-April of 2021 made up 13,3 mln. documents to the amount of 2,4 trln. KZT. As compared to January-April of 2020 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 5,6% (by 706,7 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 17,6% (by 363,3 bln. KZT).

On an average 166,3 thousand documents to the amount of 30,3 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number of payments by 5,6% (by 8,8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 17,6% (by 4,5 bln. KZT).
