On the whole 13,7 mln. transactions to the amount of 172,2 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-March of 2021. As compared to January-March of 2020 number of payments in payment systems increased by 26,9% (by 2897,7 thousand transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 1,6% (by 2,8 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-March of 2021 3,7 mln. transactions to the amount of 170,5 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 11% (by 366,3 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 1,7% (by 2,9 trln. KZT).

On an average 64,8 thousand transactions to the amount of 3 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-March of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number by 13% (by 7,4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 0,1% (by 1,6 bln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-March of 2021 made up 10 mln. documents to the amount of 1,7 trln. KZT. As compared to January-March of 2020 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 33,9% (by 2531,4 thousand documents), value of payments decreased by 8,0% (by 124,4 bln. KZT).

On an average 175,2 thousand documents to the amount of 29,4 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number of payments by 36,3% (by 46,7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 9,9% (by 2,7 bln. KZT).
