On the whole 8,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 114,3 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-February of 2021. As compared to January-February of 2020 number of payments in payment systems increased by 22,5% (by 1614, thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 0,8% (by 0,9  trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-February of 2021 2,3 mln. transactions to the amount of 113,3 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 5,3% (by 116,8 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 0,7% (by 0,8 trln. KZT).

On an average 60,7 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,0 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-February of 2021 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number by 10,9% (by 6 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 6,0% (by 0,2 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-February of 2021 made up 6,5 mln. documents to the amount of 1008,5 bln. KZT. As compared to January-February of 2020 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 30,1% (by 1497,3 thousand transactions), value of payments increased by 1,4% (by 14,4 trln. KZT).

On an average 170,2 thousand documents to the amount of 26,5 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number of payments by 37,0% (by 45,9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 6,8% (by 1,7 trln. KZT).
