On the whole 3,7 mln. transactions to the amount of 55,6 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2021. As compared to January of 2020 number of payments in payment systems increased by 26,4% (by 773,7 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 1,3% (by 0,7 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January of 2021 961,9 thousand transactions to the amount of 55,2 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 5,4% (by 49,6 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 1,2% (by 0,7 trln. KZT).
On an average 53,4 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,1 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2021 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number by 17,2% (by 7,8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 9,8% (by 0,3 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January of 2021 made up 2,7 mln. documents to the amount of 401,5 bln. KZT. As compared to January of 2020 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 35,9% (by 724,1 thousand documents), value of payments decreased by 6,7% (by 29,0 bln. KZT).
On an average 152,2 thousand documents to the amount of 22,3 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2020 in respect of number of payments by 51,0% (by 51,4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 3,8% (by 0,8 bln. KZT).
