The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as NBK) issues ARǴYMAQ collectible coins from the Cult Animals – Totems of Nomads series. This coin completes the Cult Animals – Totems of Nomads series.

The collectible coins will be sold through the NBK online store https://kazcoins.nationalbank.kz starting 22 October 2025.

About ARǴYMAQ collectible coins

The coin symbolizes sacred argymak, one of the most important animals in the Turkic culture, personifying unity of a man and the nature. Its design is based on a combination of naturalistic and stencil images of the animal, executed in the Saka style.

Description of the ARǴYMAQ 5,000 and 1,000 KZT coins

The coins are made of silver using gilding technology and diamond inserts. The coins have identical obverse and reverse designs.

Obverse, framed by a national ornament, depicts the minting year, denomination, trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint, and an inscription indicating the metal from which the coin is made, its purity, and weight. QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY•REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN inscription runs around the rim of the coin.

Reverse of the coins features a composition of a naturalistic and stenciled image of an argymak's head with a diamond insert measuring 2 mm in diameter for the 5,000 KZT coin and 1 mm in diameter for the 1,000 KZT coin. ARǴYMAQ inscription is at the top. A wide border with decorative elements runs around the perimeter.

The coins are made of:

• 925 sterling silver, weight – 25 oz (777.5 g), diameter – 100 mm, set with a 2 mm diamond, proof quality, denomination – 5,000 KZT, mintage – 250 pieces;

• 925 sterling silver, weight – 31.1 g, diameter – 38.61 mm, set with a 1 mm diamond, proof quality, denomination – 1,000 KZT, mintage – 4,000 pieces.

Description of ARǴYMAQ 500 KZT and 200 KZT coins

The coins are made of MH25 cupronickel alloy in proof-like and brilliant uncirculated quality. The proof-like quality coin is gilded.

Obverse of the coin, framed by a national ornament, depicts the minting year, denomination, and trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint. QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY•REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN inscription runs around the rim of the coin.

Reverse of the coin features a composition of a naturalistic and stenciled image of an Argymak's head, with the inscription ARǴYMAQ at the top. A wide border with decorative elements runs around the perimeter.

• of cupronickel alloy, weight – 15 grams, diameter – 33 mm, proof-like quality, denomination – 500 KZT, mintage – 7,000 pieces;

Image of a 200 KZT coin

• of cupronickel alloy, weight – 11.17 grams, diameter – 31 mm, brilliant uncirculated quality, denomination – 200 KZT, mintage – 15,000 pieces.

All coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments, as well as for deposits into bank accounts, transfers, change and exchange in all banks of the country.

The collectible coins were minted at the Kazakhstan Mint.
