The National Bank of Kazakhstan (the NBK) issues into circulation collectible coins AIÝ from the coin series “Cult animals as a totem of nomads”.

AIÝ collectible coins, made of silver with a face value of 1000 tenge and cupronickel alloy with face values of 500 and 200 tenge, will be sold through the NBK online store kazcoins.nationalbank.kz starting December 19, 2024. Delivery will be handled by JSC "Kazpost."

AIÝ Collectible coins with a face value of 5000 tenge will be available for purchase through the NBK online store kazcoins.nationalbank.kz starting December 23, 2024. The coins will be sold with self-pickup as the delivery method.

About AIÝ collectible coins

AIÝ (Bear) is the seventh coin in the "Cult animals as a totem of nomads" series. Its design combines a naturalistic and stenciled depiction of the animal, presented in the Saka style.

AIÝ (Bear) symbolizes strength, resilience, and a deep connection with nature.

Coins are made:

- 925 grade silver, weighing 777.5 grams, 100 mm in diameter, with a 2 mm diamond insert, proof quality and the face value of 5000 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 200 (two hundred) pieces;

- 925 grade silver, weighing 31.1 grams, 36.61 mm in diameter, with a 1 mm diamond insert, proof quality and the face value of 1000 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 3000 (three thousand) pieces;

- cupronickel alloy, weighing 15 grams, 33 mm in diameter, proof-like quality and the face value of 500 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 3000 (three thousand) pieces.

- cupronickel alloy, weighing 11.7 grams, 31 mm in diameter, brilliant uncirculated quality and the face value of 200 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 10 000 (ten thousand) pieces.

Collectible coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all banks of the country.

The coins were produced at the Kazakhstan Mint.
