The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter the “NBK”) issues “TÁÝELSIZ QAZAQSTANǴA 30 JYL” collectible coins.

Information about the starting date of the coins sale will be additionally posted on an official website of the NBK.

“TÁÝELSIZ QAZAQSTANǴA 30 JYL” collectible coins

Silver coins of 5 000 KZT and 500 KZT denominations and cupronickel coins of 100 KZT denomination continue the series “Outstanding Events and People”.

Design of “TÁÝELSIZ QAZAQSTANǴA 30 JYL” coins reflects a symbolic connection with the first series of banknotes of the 1993 standard issued by independent Kazakhstan which depict portraits of prominent historical figures. The composition completes visual portrait series and logically marks a jubilee milestone in the history of the state.

Silver coins are made using gold-plating technology and color printing technology. Interference iridescent coating technology has been applied to all types of coins. They have identical images of the obverse and reverse sides.

The obverse side of the coins contains denomination, NBK logotype and an inscription indicating the metal and its fineness, as well as the weight of the coin. Inscriptions “QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY • REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN” run along the circumference.

The reverse side of the coins pictures the State flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a map of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a portrait set, an ornamental ribbon made in the form of a Kazakh yurt (baskur) decoration and an official logo of celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.

Coins are produced:

- 925/1000 fineness silver, “proof” quality, 933 grams (30 ounces), 100 mm in diameter,
5 000 KZT denomination, mintage 300 (three hundred) pcs;

- 925/1000 fineness silver, “proof” quality, 31.1 grams, 38.61 mm in diameter, 500 KZT denomination, mintage 3 000 (three thousand) pcs;

- cupronickel (CuNi25) alloy, “brilliant uncirculated” quality, 15 grams, 33 mm in diameter, 100 KZT denomination, mintage 30 000 (thirty thousand) pcs;

All these coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all the banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Silver coins are issued in souvenir packaging with numbered NBK quality certificates in the state, Russian and English languages.

Collectible coins were produced at the Kazakhstan Mint.
