Circulation order of the “Kultegin” 1 000 Tenge Memorable Banknote

National Bank of Kazakhstan reminds that the banknotes with the 1000 tenge denomination dedicated to the monument of Turkish Written Language “Kultegin”, is the legal money resource. They have to be accepted on each type of payments, bank operations and money transfers. The banknote is changed for without any limitations at all banks and affiliations of “Kazpochta”, JSC.

The memorable banknote “Kultegin” was issued for circulation in 2013 with the edition of 20 million pieces. It does not have any validity dates and can be withdrawn from the circulation upon its wear.

If entrepreneurs do not accept those bank notes, it means that according to Point 206 of Code on Administrative Law Violations they will receive a warning. In case of additional cases of non-acceptance of banknotes, there will be fines within the range of 5 to 25 monthly calculation indices.

In cases of acceptance denials, it is necessary to seek help at the reginal affiliations of National Bank to accept the relevant measures. It is recommended to make videos or to require a written explanatory note with a reason of denial in accepting of banknotes.

Short Description of “Kultegin” Banknote

Front Side: the prevailing colors are brown and yellow. The main images are the monument “Kazakh Eli” (in the city of Nur-Sultan) and fragment of the monument “Kultegin”, flying pigeons, the state symbolics of the Republic of Kazakhstan: the flag and crest.

Reverse Side: the prevailing color is brown. The main images are the cave paintings of Turkic warriors, the monument of Turkic written language.

In 2014 the Kazakhstani memorable bank note “Kultegin”, which is dedicated to the Turkic written language, became the best banknote of 2013 according to the International Banknote Society).
