In April, annual inflation in the country sped up and made 10.7% (10.0% in March). Acceleration of the annual inflation was recorded in 18 regions, a slowdown – in 1 region. Also, in one region inflation remained at the same level.

The highest value of annual inflation was recorded in Astana city – 13.8%.

Prices for food products accelerated to 8.5% YoY in April (7.6% in March). Maximum price growth for this group of products was recorded in Akmola region (11.2%), and minimum – in Kyzylorda region and Almaty city (6.8% each).

Growth pace of prices for non-food products slowed down to 8.9% YoY (9.1% in March). Maximum value was recorded in Turkistan region (14.8%), minimum – in Pavlodar region (5.9%).

Prices for paid services rose to 15.7% YoY in April (14.3% in March). Along with that, prices grew significantly higher than the national level in Almaty city (20.0%), significantly lower – in Pavlodar region (8.6%).

In April monthly inflation in the country rose by 1.2%.
