In September annual inflation slowed down in eleven regions of Kazakhstan

In September, annual inflation slowed down to 8.3% (8,4% in August 2024). In terms of regions, annual inflation slowed down in 11 regions, while in other 7 regions it accelerated and in 2 regions it remained unchanged.

The highest values of annual inflation were recorded in Astana city and Mangystau region.

Growth pace of food products in September slowed down to 5.1% YoY (5.5% in August). The highest increase in prices for goods in this group was observed in Almaty city (7.7%), while the lowest was in Astana city (2.1%)

The growth rate of prices for non-food products decelerated to 7.6% YoY (7.7% in August). The maximum value was recorded in Turkistan region (13.3%), while the minimum was in Zhetysu region (4.9%).

Prices for paid services in September remained at the same level of 13.6% YoY (13.6 % in August). At the same time, prices rose significantly higher than the national level in Pavlodar region (at 20.0 %) and significantly lower in Almaty region (7.7%).

In September, the monthly inflation in the country amounted to 0.4%, which is higher than the historical average (0.3% in September 2017-2021).
