National Bank of Kazakhstan has provided 30 grants for studies at Nazarbayev University and Narxoz University NJSC to train qualified personnel for the central bank, its subsidiaries as well as the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.

Based on results of entrance exams and on the basis of a decision of the Admissions Committee, 7 graduates were enrolled for the Master of Science in Finance program at Nazarbayev University for 2021–2023 academic years.

As a result of a competitive selection, 23 graduates were admitted to Narxoz University for Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Management, Macroanalytics and Forecasting, Actuary programs.

In partnership with Nazarbayev University, 40 out of 53 specialists trained under the Master of Science in Finance program are currently employed in the key divisions of National Bank.

«As a result of cooperation with Narxoz University between 2003 and 2018, more than 700 master graduates were trained. In 2020, we revived our cooperation. Next year, we plan to employ 20 master graduates with the National Bank and 10 with the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market», – said Sholpan Tokbergenova, Director of NBK Human Capital Development Department.
