We would remind that outdated banknotes of 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 KZT denomination of 2006 standard can be exchanged for valid currency units in regional NBK branches.

Whenever a new banknote is issued, simultaneous circulation will be 12 months. Banknotes of both old and new standard will be a legal instrument of payment and they must be accepted for all types of payments during a year.
