As of July 1, 2025, the issue of electronic money was carried out by 7 banks and «Kazpost» JSC. Payment organizations are the operators of 41 of the 45 electronic money systems operating in Kazakhstan.

In the second quarter of 2025, kazakhstani issuers of electronic money issued electronic money in the amount of 219.6 billion tenge. The number of open electronic wallets amounted to more than 40 million.

In the 2nd quarter of 2025, the volume of transactions using electronic money issued by kazakhstani issuers in Kazakhstan amounted to 60.9 million transactions in the amount of KZT 321.1 billion (compared to the same period in 2024, the number of transactions and the amount increased by 9.1% and 21.4%, respectively).

The volume of transactions using electronic money in favor of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities as of July 1, 2025 amounted to 247.7 billion tenge (an increase of 21.8% compared to the second quarter of 2024), in favor of individuals - 73.4 billion tenge (an increase of 20%).
