As of October 1, 2024, 8 banks and JSC «Kazpost» were issuing electronic money. The operators of 35 out of 39 electronic money systems functioning in Kazakhstan are payment organizations.

Kazakhstan electronic money issuers issued electronic money in the amount of 719.1 billion KZT for 9 months of 2024 (6.3% decrease compared to the same period of 2023). There is also a significant growth in open electronic wallets (by 74.1%), the number of which as of 01.10.2024 exceeded 57 million.

For the 9 months of 2024, the volume of transactions using electronic money issued by kazakhstan issuers in Kazakhstan amounted to 767.8 billion KZT (an increase of 25.9% compared to the same period of 2023).

The volume of transactions using electronic money in favor of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities as of October 1, 2024 amounted to 508.5 billion KZT (an increase of 18.1% compared to the same period of 2023), in favor of individuals - 167.0 billion KZT (an increase of 64.8%).
