THE BANKNOTE OF 1000 TENGE WAS RECOGNIZED AS THE "BEST BANKNOTE OF 2013"
The Kazakhstan banknote of 1000 tenge was recognized as the "Best banknote of 2013" according to the International Bank Note Society (IBNS). This was reported on the official website of IBNS. The 1000 tenge banknote was put into circulation by the National Bank of Kazakhstan on December 12, 2013. The banknote is made in yellow-brown tones. On the front side there is a fragment of the sculpture of Kultegin (a political and military leader of the Second Turkic Khaganate), the monument "Kazakh Eli" and flying doves. On the reverse side, rock carvings of Turkic warriors, a monument of Turkic writing and a deer are visible.In addition, on the reverse side there is a holographic strip with the image of a fragment of the national flag, the logo of the National Bank and the inscription "Eskertkish tenge". The circulation of the commemorative banknote amounted to 10 million pieces.
